Everything you need to know about enrolling your child
Welcome to Little Academy Preschool! We are so excited to be welcoming you and your child to our school and wish you many happy years as part of our school family.
On this page is some information which you will need during your time at our school. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We have an open-door policy (Covid-19 protocols apply of course).
We believe children should be provided with an opportunity where they can develop and learn through fun and creativity. Our classrooms are bright, colourful and inviting and offer a safe and nurturing space to grow.
With a strong emphasis on arts and crafts as well as discovery-based learning, Little Academy aims to allow for self-discovery and to instill a love of learning.
Our children have a beautiful large garden with climbing apparatus and outdoor toys at their disposal. With an abundance of bird life, trees and plants – outdoor learning takes place and children engage with the world around them.

Ages
We welcome all children from 2 to 6 years old.
- Lilypads and Tadpoles (Grade 0000): 2-3 years
- Froglets (Grade 000): 3-4 years
- Frogs (Grade 00) : 4-5 years
- Bull Frogs (Grade 0): 5-6 years
School hours
We are open from 7am until 5pm.
Half day – Preschool only
The academic day is from:
8am – 12.30pm (Grade 0000, 000, 00)
8am – 12.45pm (Grade 0)
Full day – Preschool and aftercare
7am – 15pm

Public Holidays: Wednesday, 1 May (Workers’ Day); Thursday, 2 May; Friday, 3 May (School holiday)
Term 3
Open: Wednesday, 10 July 2024
Closes: Friday, 20 September 2024
Public Holiday: Friday, 9 August (Women’s Day)
Term 4
Open: Wednesday, 9 October 2024
Closes: Thursday, 5 December 2024
Holiday club is offered privately during the holidays and will be communicated each term.
Dress
Because we do many sensorial activities, such as working with mud, finger paint and textile paint, we would like children to wear clothing that is not considered “Sunday best”.
